Position: Drafting Paralegal
Location: In-person at Moss Point, MS or Hybrid
Employment Type: Full-time
Wages: $35,000 and up based on experience

We are committed to helping individuals and families plan for their future with professionalism and care. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Drafting Paralegal to join our team and support our attorneys with high-quality legal document preparation.

Responsibilities:

  • Document Drafting and Preparation:

    • Draft all deeds, trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and health care proxies.

    • Responsible for dictation, outgoing correspondence, and preparation of firm form letters.

    • Draft funding documents including change of beneficiary forms and other financial institution requirements.

    • Create, modify, and maintain all internal forms.

  • Client Interaction and Case Management:

    • Meet with clients for appointments that do not require attorney supervision.

    • Enter all relevant general information and meeting notes into the firm database.

    • Calendar all work and ensure that all deadlines are met.

    • Prepare all client documents and planning documents for client signatures.

  • Administrative and Team Support:

    • Navigate through client management software and tools efficiently.

    • Maintain funding chart and track ongoing funding.

    • Actively participate in required firm calls and meetings and provide weekly reporting.

    • Complete projects or tasks as requested by attorneys within the time frame allotted.

    • Attend training events and other firm events as needed.

    • Adhere to firm-established core values.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Wealth Counsel and client management software.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Experience as a paralegal in estate planning is preferred.
